About the artist

As a child I watched my mother paint a life sized mural of the family including the cat, on the brick kitchen wall. Painting and animals have proved to be the two dominant themes of my adult life.

In 1991 I left a career in advertizing illustration to enroll at the Julian Ashton Art School, fulfilling my ambition to study painting. There I won the Henry Gibbons prize for Drawing and the Dobell Scholarship. During this period I studied further with Richard Ashton and Graeme Inson, and later at the Florence Academy of Art.

With 25 years’ experience selling and exhibiting my work I continue to paint in my Bundeena studio in the Royal National Park south of Sydney. My commissions include portraits, nudes, still life and animals.
